It's soooooo Monday!

It's been a killer day already.
It started when my eyes blinked upon and the clock read 7:00.
For some reason, it felt like 4:00 am.
I'm not liking the transition to Day Light Savings Time. I really wished we could be like Arizona and just leave the time thing alone. I hate waking up in the dark!

So following our usual routine, PPaz follows me downstairs because she like to go outside and watch the little rodents in the field on the other side of the chain linked fence. But today was a little different. She wanted to come in earlier - so I figured it was just cold outside and she wanted back in sooner than she normally does. What I didn't realize is she brought a present with her. Once inside, she dashed into the living room and released a live rodent. I spent the next 20 mins trying to catch it. I tripped over the foot stool and sprained my ankle pretty good. Finally, I had it trapped... and I yelled for Mac to come help me. By this time, the mouse was already dead.... guess I squished it in my panic to capture it. (I don't do well with mice... indoors. They're fine outside where they belong... but not in my home!) Poor Princess Paz didn't really realize what what happened this morning... and she's probably confused at why I didn't like her new toy.

The experience left me shaken up, with no appetite, and a killer headache. A great way to start the new work week.

On a happier note, Eric, Brynn, Marisol & Omar arrive in Utah today!
We probably won't see them until tomorrow, but we're soooo happy their adoption process is OVER!

I will be pulling this story out again when the boys ask my why we can't have a cat. *shudder* I so do not do mice!

Hope you get feeling better and that the week astonishes you with many good things.

Amazing! What a way to start the week
Sorry about the sprained ankle, hope it soon feels much better. What did you do with the 'little critter'? Ha.
Oh, so HAPPY the Eric & Brynn Family are in UTAH today ;-) What a joy that
is to know. I'm sure it will take a while for them to 'settle in'.
I did a little outside work today.

You gotta love the presents that cats bring in, my parents cat would always bring in mice (without heads) and dead birds. The creepy thing would be when the birds actually weren't dead, one time my sister woke up to a panicked one flying around her room! I know they think they're being nice, but I really could do without their gifts!

So sorry about your sprained ankle! But I have one question. Why did it take 20 minutes before you yelled for Mac? You should have yelled for him right away! That's what husbands are for!
