Christmas!

I don't know how to find the time to blog anymore... but here's a quick update of our Holiday. And since pictures say a thousand words...

Zoey's First Halloween!

Here's our cute little Trick-o-Treater!

Grandma Becky bought us this cute little skeleton outfit and she's sporting a spider bow we made in MO on vacation to complete her outfit. It made for lots of smiles!

And for the cold weather - here she is in her Deer outfit!
Wonder what she'll want to be next year?!

Labor Day Weekend & Week!

It was a nice weekend - sleeping in, relaxing, finding deals on cute baby clothes for Zoey next year and a little bit of sewing. Sat we packed up the car and drove
to Tremonton to visit Grampa Knell. We had a WONDERFUL visit! He treated us to warm doughnuts and tall glasses of cold milk! We brought home a stack full of pictures to scan.
(It was WAY fun to see pics of Mac when he was little!)
Monday I woke up in a cleaning frenzy! It felt soooo good to sweep and mop the kitchen & bathroom, finish the laundry & dishes, take out all the garbages, polish & clean the kitchen cupboards, and clean off the back patio. I was exhausted, but it was well worth the effort!

We took a break where our good friend invited us to be her guests for lunch at Carl's Jr before they opened. Seriously! Soooo-much-fun!
We all got $7 vouchers to order what we wanted from the menu. I really wanted one of the PHILLY CHEESESTEAK BURGER but they hadn't prepped for it. Instead I tried the THE PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM SIX DOLLAR BURGER™ delish! I'd never eaten at Carl's Jr before, so it was fun to experience the messy magic on the south end of town before the doors were open to the public.

Zoey is 14 weeks! It's amazing to see how fast she's growing!
What a lucky girl! She's wearing the outfit from Aunt Leah & Uncle Adam that Adam brought back from Germany! Soooo cute!

Safe at Grammy's! Poor little Zoey's fingernails grow faster than mommy can trim them!

Little miss independent! She loves sitting in on all the action!

Zoey spends a lot of her awake time playing. She's getting really good with her fingers and hands.

Soooo precious! Love that little sleepy baby!

Wednesday was book club and lots of meetings. It was fun, but I was exhausted.

I picked up a cold Thurs and Friday... spent those 2 days recovering... it took me down hard.
I'm glad Mom could watch Zoey while I recovered and Mac made it easy for me at home to rest.

She loves sticking her little tongue out at us!

Our self portrait Saturday

We stopped by Great Aunt Linda's for a visit. It was fun to catch up with the family.

She sure has us wrapped around her little finger when she pulls this face.

To wrap up the day, we fed the ducks. Zoey really enjoys the walk and we have fun seeing who will dominate, the fish or the ducks for the moldy bread chunks!

Stake Conference was very memorable! It was very hot, I felt dizzy and claustrophobic, but the speakers were great. Zoey almost made it the entire 2 hours, and then started screaming. On my way down the steps to take her out and change the diaper that was making her grumpy, I sliped and slid down a couple of stairs. I made sure during my fall that Zoey was in no danger - she was well protected and all that was injured was my pride... and I might have a bruise on my backside tomorrow. Needless to say, next time, we'll be sitting on the main floor in the back by the door where no stairs will be involved.

Then while Mac was making lunch, a big huge poisonous spider was playing in the house by the back door. Ugghhh! Guess the memorable events keep coming!

Can't wait to see what next week brings.

Pioneer Day!

I love holidays! And Pioneer Day is no exception!
It was fun to wake up lazily on a Friday and then slowly make our way to the home of Uncle Trist & Uncle Harv at noon where Zoey attended her first parade!

Ok, so she slept through the whole thing... but she was there!
So were her cousins Omar & Marisol and their parents! I LOVED watching the kids race around to gather the candy. And then Marisol would through a bunch to us lazy adults. What cutie!
I brought some Watermelon Kiwi slushys and we enjoyed the 45 minute procession.

Afterwards, Harv gave us a tour of his green green garden. It's beautiful and the sweet peas were fun to sample!

5 Weeks Old!

Our little nipper is 5 weeks old!
She's already 12 lbs and 22 inches!
This week we're still focused on tweaking our sleeping schedule. She's pretty consistant to wake every 2 hours for a meal. I still have about a week to work on it until I go back to work. I'm getting used to just a few hours of sleep.
Zoey still loves walks in the stroller, human "mattresses" naps are always better on a loved one.
Zoey went to Marisol's birthday party Saturday, went to the whole 3 hours of church on Sunday and Grammy Pammy and Grandpa Du's cook out to celebrate the 4th of July.
It's been a fun week overall!

Memorial Day Weekend

It's been a rough weekend. I've been very uncomfortable and have had some really strong contractions. We didn't sleep well Sat night, figuring we'd have to go to the hospital because the pain was almost unbearable... so early Sunday morning after I had all I could take, we went to the hospital. I found out my doctor is out of town this weekend and after an agonizing hour (uncomfortable bed and being hooked up to several devices) of being monitored, I still wasn't dilated enough to deliver.

They gave me some heavenly pills to reduce my uncomfortableness and let me get some rest, and I spent most of Sunday sleeping. So the waiting game continues and I found myself in awe of mother's everywhere who weather the storm of childbirth.

Looks like I'll be back to work Tuesday... with an even bigger belly, because this girl of mine keeps growing...

New Suit, Baby Shower, Mother's Day, Anniversary, and George & Martha

Playing catch up!

Back in Feb, we bought my Handsome Hunk a new suit!
Check out this irresistible hotness that I get to sit by every Sunday!

Karen threw me a Baby Shower a couple of weeks ago!
She went all out!
From the diaper "cake" with adorable stuffed bear topper,
to the YUMMY food!
...to the fun decorations!
...to the fun time theme!
It was soooo good to see those that came,
and I'm touched by their generosity!
(And yes, I'm still composing Thank You notes)

******
Mac surprised me on Monday for Mother's Day.
I came home to flowers and balloons in the middle of the living room.

He was waiting for me in the kitchen with this AMAZING Boston Cream Pie (with sprinkles, especially for me! I don't know why, but I LOVE sprinkles!)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABE!
Mac and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary Sunday.
We pulled out the cake the Aunt Debi made and Brynn packaged
(almost too well! It took us a while to get into it!)
It was still REALLY GOOD!
Irish Cream! YUMM!
(Cute PPaz looking out the window in the background)On Saturday we celebrated by watching Iron Man 2. Of course I was a little distracted with small contractions and sneaking out of the theater to use the bathroom since my bladder is still super-small. We got the "combo" Yummy popcorn, drinks and a candy bar. They let me swap my drink for a freeze - an icy rootbeer drink, YUMM! I think I found a new favorite treat! Then we went to Papa Murphey's and bought a couple of pizzas!
It was a great way to celebrate our blissful first year together!

Oh but there's more!
Grandma Dutson entered us into the KVNU Anniversary Club! And it turns out, we WON!
We got a couple of coupons for Plant Peddler (rose and vase)
and discount to a local photography place... which we won't be using since we have the most talented photographer in Logan! I don't think we'll ever be able to have anyone else take our picture!

**********************

Mac has some new friends!
I've affectionately named them
George and Martha
We're enjoying their daily visits.
Mac found out that George prefers popcorn over stale bread,
but Martha really enjoys the bread over the old popcorn.
Mac even has George eating out of his hand.
*******
Now we wait for the next adventure.
I think Zoey will be here very soon since I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable everyday.

Saturday Fun!

Saturday Continued....

After the Ward Party, we celebrated Easter at the folks.
Yummy Mexican style food!
The 9th annual Easter Treasure Hunt! Where EVERYONE got to participate and got a really cool treasure! And a yummy dessert - by Mac!

It's too bad Adam and family are too far away to enjoy all the family fun. :(

Hummm... for some reason, I didn't get any pictures of our fun.
After a nap to recover from all the fun we had, we hopped in the car, gased up, drove to Wellsville to pick up favorite cousin Al, and headed South.
Our first stop was Burger Bar, Home of the Big Ben in Roy. Yup! One of my FAVORITE places in the world to grab a burger... and NOT just ANY burger. A mouthwatering one with special sauce! And it's even bigger than your head!
YUMMMM!When our food was done, we hopped back in the car and headed to SLC, the E-Center for Mac & Al's first Hockey game ever!

It took a long time to stand in line to exchange our puck passes for tickets.(Quick shout out to Jennifer, who ROCKS because she was soooooo sweet to share her extra tickets with us!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!)
As we made our way up the stairs, they were passing out free BamBams (the blue things Mac is holding) to cheer on our team. I LOVED every minute! From the action on the ice (we had EXCELLENT seats!) to the awesome music, to the funny and entertaining fans!

(Ugggh... I really hate the way I look in these pics, but maybe someday I'll look back and like what I see....)

There's nothing like spending an evening with some of your favorite people doing something out of the ordinary!

Ward Easter Party!

Saturday was the Ward Easter Party. (Melissa did an amazing job organizing it!)

Mac spent Friday evening preparing his egg drop entry. It was composed of an egg surrounded with Knox gelatin. Unfortunately the egg broke after it was tossed from the roof.

Egg throwers

Cream blob: Mac's entry

Nothing better than watching kids search for eggs!
(Of course I missed it since I went to pick up an order of Bountiful Baskets. I'm sooo glad Mac took pics of the party. At least I was there for the first and last part!)

The twins first egg hunt!
