8 Weeks!

Wow! That's like 2 months!
Zoey smiles a lot more frequently now and bigger.
She's enjoying watching the mobile that Wenda and family gave us that has been over her crib since Mac put it up. She likes the shapes, music and lights. It's fun to see her more attentive to her surroundings!

Pioneer Day!

I love holidays! And Pioneer Day is no exception!
It was fun to wake up lazily on a Friday and then slowly make our way to the home of Uncle Trist & Uncle Harv at noon where Zoey attended her first parade!

Ok, so she slept through the whole thing... but she was there!
So were her cousins Omar & Marisol and their parents! I LOVED watching the kids race around to gather the candy. And then Marisol would through a bunch to us lazy adults. What cutie!
I brought some Watermelon Kiwi slushys and we enjoyed the 45 minute procession.

Afterwards, Harv gave us a tour of his green green garden. It's beautiful and the sweet peas were fun to sample!

7 Weeks!

How time flies!
Here's our little Zoey at 7 weeks.
She's smiling more for me, but cries like a banshee for Mac in the afternoons. I've been told that's the witching hour where it's too early for bed and babies are tired from all the activity of the day. Hopefully she'll outgrow it soon!

All good things must come to and end....

The time has come that I need to sell my Iron Pony.

It makes me sad... but needs to be done. If anyone is looking for a reliable (fun, liberating, affordable) scooter. Let me know.

5 Weeks Old!

Our little nipper is 5 weeks old!
She's already 12 lbs and 22 inches!
This week we're still focused on tweaking our sleeping schedule. She's pretty consistant to wake every 2 hours for a meal. I still have about a week to work on it until I go back to work. I'm getting used to just a few hours of sleep.
Zoey still loves walks in the stroller, human "mattresses" naps are always better on a loved one.
Zoey went to Marisol's birthday party Saturday, went to the whole 3 hours of church on Sunday and Grammy Pammy and Grandpa Du's cook out to celebrate the 4th of July.
It's been a fun week overall!

Studio Photo Shoot

Clarissa has done it again! A couple of weeks ago, she captured some amazing shots and moments of our little doll.

Here are a sampling of my favorites!

Thanks again Clarissa! We LOVE you!

4 Weeks Old!

Wow! It's already been a month that we've been blessed with our little angel!
She's still growing like a weed and is starting to smile (not the gassy kind) this week.
She still enjoys being held as much as possible. Earlier in the week I wanted to get some house chores done - but she wanted to be held. To compromise and make us both happy, I pulled out the baby carrier. Wenda gave us one and Linda let us borrow one - so there was no excuse not to try it out. It worked! I was successful in my cleaning frenzy and she was very content to join me as she slept.
We decided and had it approved to have her blessed on July 11th as Sunday is a holiday and people we wanted there were not available. And this way she'll have her very own day. It'll be fun to see family and friends that day and celebrate out little girl. We love our little Zoey!

Date Night!

Friday night - Mac suggested we find someone to watch the sweet pea and head out to redeem a gift card his folks gave us for our anniversary. Mom was busy - they were going to Smithfield to watch a baseball game. Next we tried Anna and family. SUCCESS! They were VERY agreeable!
We dropped the nipper off a little after 6 and headed north. On the way I saw a LONG line at Olive Garden... I was hoping we wouldn't have a long wait at Chili's.
When we arrived, there was no wait and we walked right in and were immediately seated. Mac ordered some mini corn tacos and I had the steak sandwich. YUM!
I decided I had a little sweet tooth and suggested we go to the USU Dairy - since I had a little money on my staff card. To enjoy our tasty treats we headed over to the cemetery and enjoyed them on Grandma DeVona's and Grandpa Merrill's Memorial Bench. It was good weather and very peaceful. What a refreshing evening!

Thanks Anna and family for letting us escape for a few hours!
