Somehow I got out of the habit of blogging, so in an effort to redeem myself, I'll try to catch up on the last month.
I've been struggling with episodes of morning sickness. It's a lot better than it has been, but I still feel yucky a lot of the time.
To combat my miserableness, I supplemented my prescription by self medicating with food... and ta-da! 3 weeks later - I'm 20 lbs heavier. YIKES!
How did that happen?!
Thus, I've been evading the camera this month. I don't need to be reminded of my newly acquired whale-like features. I'm not going to lie, I'm looking forward to the day when all these extra hormones are out of my system and I can return to a bit of normalcy.
In a healthy attempt to lose those surprise extra pounds, Mac has joined me in DVD workout videos (ok, it's only been 2 days in a row - but that's a GREAT start!)
The countdown to Christmas was fun this year. Mostly because Mom from MO sent us our very own advent calendar. It's been fun to hang an ornament on the felt tree for the first 24 days of December! We've also been reading a chapter a day of
"The Autobiography of Santa Claus as told to Jeff Guinn" What a fun book! I can't believe that I'd never heard of it before!
Christmas Eve was fun at Uncle Trist's. The food was delicious! The company was superfun! and it was a special treat to have cuz Shelly & Kevin from Florida join us!I was sad to leave early because I felt really sick. We missed the game portion of the evening...
Christmas Day was a delight! We leisurely woke up, enjoyed blueberry pancakes, and opened gifts!
PPaz watched as the piles of wrapping paper appeared. She didn't know what to think, but she sure does enjoy the empty space under the tree! (That's where she's been hanging out lately.)
Mac had a lot of fun surprises for me. I've never felt so spoiled! I got too many things to mention but I'll highlight a few of my favorites...
I'm very excited about my atomizer! I've been secretly been coveting Aunt Lynn's. What a surprise to find one under the tree!
AND I'm looking forward to a new bathroom faucet! The one downstairs sprays water everywhere but on your hands, (plus it'll be fun to have 2 handles instead of one). Now I just need to learn how to install it!
Monday I had a Doc visit. I scheduled my apt to be the first one of the day so I wouldn't have a long wait... but the doctor had car problems, so I ended up waiting anyway.
I got to hear the baby's heart beat - it's a wiggly little creature. It kept evading the listening device and did a lot of punching or kicking. We're looking forward to discovering baby's gender on my Jan 20th apt.
Ok, that's it for now. I've hit writer's block - or is it bloggers block?
Hope everyone else had a good holiday too!
Oh, P.S. I've discontinued my tiatori blog... so if you had a link to it, it won't be active now. I can hardly keep up with one blog let alone 2.
