My left hand has been tingly/numb for the last week. When I called the Doctor's office, they said it was normal during a pregnancy. When I googled it, they called it carpel tunnel syndrome.
I'd really like to get the feeling back in my fingers and even tried a brace last night, but more of my hand was numb (but at least I was able to get some sleep unlike the night before).
It's a scary sensation!
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? Is there a cure besides waiting to deliver in order to be "normal" again?

Wow, scary for sure. I'll ask Shannon if she has experienced this sensation with her pregnancy.
I sent Shannon a note and will let you know if she responds. she is at work.
Yep this happens to me. Let me bring the pregnancy pillow over it will help (really). If I remember right it has more to do with blood circulation when pregnant than carpel tunnel. Try to be careful of the way you lay down at night (I think you are supposed to sleep on your right side...but I'll have to look it up)...it also helps to get a back/shoulder rub right before you go to sleep.
When I was in the hospital having babies, they always made me lay on my left side to help with circulation. I would bet that it's a circulation issue, though I never experienced anything like that.
What are the best sleep positions?
The best sleep position during pregnancy is "SOS" (sleep on side). Even better is to sleep on your left side. Sleeping on your left side will increase the amount of blood and nutrients that reach the placenta and your baby. Keep your legs and knees bent and a pillow between your legs.
